Decorative Paint Flake Additive
Decorative paint flakes can be added to enhance the look of your surface and are very easy to use. Simply broadcast the paint flakes of your choice on top as you are coating your surface. You can use one color or use your own custom blend of colors to achieve the desired results.

COVERAGE: Approximate coverage at two mils dry is 400 square feet per 2 Gallon Kit, and recommended thickness of 4 mils dry would require 2 full coats. Material losses during mixing and application will vary and must be taken into consideration. Calculate for moderately less coverage on bare, rough or sandblasted surfaces.
To figure out the amount of paint you will require: Length x Width of surface = square footage x 2 (2 coats) divided by 400 square feet = Kits needed.
SUGGESTED USES: Exterior, interior, anywhere a rugged protective coating is needed for your surface.
LIMITATIONS: Do not apply if material, substrate or ambient temperature is below 40 degrees F or above 95 degrees F.
FINISH: Glossy. If additional grit is desired, silica sand can be applied to the surface as the coating as it is being applied.
VEHICLE TYPE: Epoxy resin.
SOLIDS BY WEIGHT: 90%.
RECOMMENDED DRY FILM: 20-22 mils (With Two Coats)
WEIGHT PER GALLON: Approximately 10 lbs. per gallon (varies slightly by color).
VISCOSITY AT 75 DEGREES F (24 DEGREES C): 70-80 KU
AVERAGE DRY TIME AT 75 DEGREES F: Dries to touch in 24 hours. Lower temperatures & higher humidity will slow down dry times.
RECOMMENDED REDUCER: If desired material can be thinned using 6-8 ounces of Xylene per 2 gallon mixture
RESISTANCE TO: Chemicals resistance, abrasion, oils, grease, rust, corrosion, mildew, chipping and fading.
SURFACE PREPARATION: Concrete surfaces must be cleaned using a solution of 50% muriatic acid mixed with 50% water. After surface has been rinsed, follow up with a mixture of TSP powder (Tri Sodium Phosphate) and water. Rinse thoroughly and allow surface to dry for 24 hours.
NOTE: If you are coating steel or wood then skip the first step and only clean the area thoroughly with TSP and water and allow to dry for 24 Hours.
APPLICATION: Brush, spray or roller. Recommended application is roll on method.
Rollers: 1/2" lambskin, mohair or phenolic core roller. Keep roller wet. Roll in one direction, rewet, then cross roll. If necessary, product can be reduced as needed with Xylene for easier rollout performance.
Spray: Conventional air gravity feed 59-70 PSI, Tip size .055-.070, Airless 2200-2500 PSI, Tip size .013-.017. Product can be reduced with xylene for proper flow out and performance. For air spray reduce with 25% with enamel reducer (xylene).
After applying 1st coat wait a minimum of 24 hours before applying second coat. 2 Coats are highly recommended for optimal product performance, durability and lifespan.
POT LIFE: Approximately 3 hours once 1 gallon of Part A and 1 gallon of part B are mixed together. Higher temperatures and humidity can shorten pot life.
MIXING: Separately mix both Part A and Part B either mechanically or by hand for at least 5 minutes each, making sure that all solid material is mixed thoroughly. Then combine 1 gallon of Part A and 1 Gallon of Part B together and mix mechanically or by hand for at least 5 minutes. Allow combined material to sit and induct for 5-7 minutes and then begin applying the coating. Only mix the amount of material you expect to use within a 3 hour time frame.
CLEAN UP: Xylene for equipment.

Formulated especially as a heavy duty protective and decorative coating to withstand high traffic, chemicals, oils and extreme weather conditions. It is a high solids epoxy resin, rust inhibitive protective coating designed for new or previously painted structural steel, rolled steel, metal and all types of wood and concrete surfaces. Special processed chemical ingredients protect metal and wood against rust, rotting, corrosion, mildew and chipping and fading.
