COLORS: Available in White, Medium Blue, Aqua, Royal Blue, Sky Blue, or Black
COVERAGE: Approximate coverage is 300 square feet per gallon. Recommended thickness will require 2 full coats. Material losses during mixing and application will vary and must be taken into consideration. Expect less coverage on bare, rough or sandblasted surfaces.
To figure out the amount of paint you will require: Length of Pool x Width of Pool x 1.7 = square footage x 2 (2 coats) divided by 300 square feet = gallons needed
SURFACE PREPARATION: Power wash or hose the surface to remove all loose paint, dirt, oils, suntan lotions and grease. Clean the pool with a mixture of Tri-Sodium Phosphate (TSP) and water, scrubbing the surface thoroughly, then rinse the area. Next etch the pool with a solution of 50% muriatic acid and 50% water. Then clean again with TSP and flush with plenty of fresh water. Allow to the surface to dry thoroughly for at least 24 hours before beginning application. Glossy surfaces can be power sanded using 80 grit sandpaper if desired. After applying the 1st coat, wait at least 24 hours before applying the 2nd coat. WAIT 5 DAYS AFTER FINAL COAT BEFORE FILLING THE SWIMMING POOL WITH WATER. If it rains at any time during or right after application, add 1 extra day of cure time for each day it rains.
SUGGESTED USES: Concrete or plaster swimming pools. For Jacuzzi's, spas, or fiberglass pools, see our Epoxy Pool Paints.
FINISH: Glossy. For a more slip resistant finish in areas such as the pool steps or diving platforms, silica sand can be added during application to achieve the desired texture.
